Spring 2014 Newsletter
The sailing season is nearly upon us once again, and as I write, I am looking out over a sunlit Poole Harbour. The weather is warming up nicely, and although ESPRIT is out of the water for her annual refit, our other yachts are ready for action. We hope you will come and visit our beautiful area and admire our dramatic coastline.
We were pleased with our Racing Results last year. We managed to compete well in The Round the Island Race, where our yachts scored some excellent results. We also had some excellent results at Cowes Week and in the The Little Britain Challenge, so if you are planning to compete in one of the Industry Regattas this year, you would do well to speak to us now, and get your booking in early!
We will again be working in 2014 with Marie Smith of SUCCESSMITH to develop high quality Team Building, Personal Development and Management Assessment Programs with performance sailing as the preferred platform. Contact Neil on 07976 303792, for more information.
It's time to start making plans for your 2014 events, so here are some more ideas......
We firmly believe that Poole Harbour is a very special venue for Yachting and although much of our competitive racing and some Corporate Sailing will be Solent based, our most successful Corporate Sailing Days in the past, and I'm sure in the future, will be based in Poole. Our Elan Yachts are already booked for some of the major race events and the calendar is already filling up fast, so get in touch now to secure your preferred dates for your 2014 events.
We are intending to take ESPRIT to Cowes Week this year. We have regularly raced at Cowes with a "half and half" crewing arrangement and it works really well. We supply half the crew and you bring the other half. Up to six people can enjoy an exhilarating day (or week!) racing at Cowes. We sometimes do quite well too! After the racing is over you can enjoy the atmosphere and legendary nightlife of Cowes Week. Travel over from Southampton on the Red Jet. It all fits neatly into one day, but a day to remember!
The spectacular Bournemouth Air Festival returns in August and is always an event not to be missed. Where better to get the best view of all the action than from your own luxury yacht anchored off the end of Bournemouth pier?
Power and sail day. Sunseeker 48 plus sleek Elans give you the best of both worlds. Relax on board your luxurious Sunseeker as you speed across the waves at 30 knots or enjoy the thrill of sailing a thoroughbred racing yacht. Hoist the spinnaker and sail along the spectacular Jurassic coast. Dine ashore at one of Dorset’s finest restaurants or anchor in beautiful Studland Bay for an al fresco buffet lunch, the choice is yours.
How about a gentle cruise along the spectacular Jurassic Coast, or perhaps sail to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight. We are happy to fit in with your plans. Lunch on board or go ashore. Bring your swimming things and just relax whilst admiring the beautiful scenery. Our yachts are fully equipped for comfortable cruising.

With Best Wishes and looking forward to meeting you afloat,
